Pricing & Costs
The minimum rental is 2 days at $65/day ($130 total). You can book for longer.
No catch. $65/day is the all-in rate with insurance included. The only extras are the refundable $500 deposit and Supercharger costs during your trip.
We're an independent operator, so we don't have airport concession fees, a fleet of hundreds of cars, or a physical rental office. We pass those savings directly to you.

What's Included
Full charge on pickup, Tesla Supercharger access, Full Self-Drive (Supervised), vehicle security monitoring, and insurance coverage.
Yes. Every vehicle in our fleet is equipped with Tesla Full Self-Drive (Supervised). We encourage renters to use FSD during their trip. Renters who maintain high FSD engagement may qualify for preferred pricing, while manual-only driving may incur a supplemental charge.
No. There are no mileage limits on our rentals. Drive to LA and back, loop through Big Sur, hit Lake Tahoe. It's all included in the daily rate.
Insurance & Deposits
You must provide proof of valid personal auto insurance that covers rental vehicles, or purchase coverage through us during the booking process. We verify all insurance documentation before releasing the vehicle. No exceptions.
Yes. Basic liability insurance is included in the daily rate with no add-on fees. What you see at checkout is what you pay.
Many premium credit cards offer rental car collision coverage as a benefit. You can use this as additional coverage on top of our included insurance. Check with your card issuer for details.
Contact us immediately. If anyone is injured, call 911 first. File a police report and we'll work with you on next steps. The included insurance provides basic liability coverage.
The deposit is separate from insurance. It's a refundable security deposit for incidentals (e.g., excessive dirt, minor damage). It's returned within 30 days of a clean return.
Pickup & Location
The car is in the Presidio area of San Francisco. The exact address and Google Maps link are shared after your payment is confirmed. You'll use the Tesla app to unlock it when you arrive.
We don't currently offer delivery. Pickup and return are at our Presidio location. An Uber/Lyft to the location typically costs $10-30 depending on where you're coming from.
Currently we offer pickup and return at the same Presidio location. One-way rentals are not available at this time.
Our pickup is in the Presidio, about 20 minutes from SFO by Uber/Lyft ($20-30). The savings on the rental easily cover the ride.
If you're anywhere in the Bay Area, getting to our Presidio location is easy via Uber/Lyft, BART, or Muni. If you're outside the Bay Area, we recommend booking in advance and planning your trip to San Francisco.
Booking & Cancellations
Yes, cancellations are free before payment. After payment, contact us to discuss options.
Yes, as long as the car isn't booked after your current reservation. Contact us and we'll extend your booking at the same daily rate.
Absolutely. That's our most popular rental period. Pick up Friday afternoon or evening and return Sunday evening.
You can return the car anytime. You're only charged for the days you actually use the car.
Renter Requirements
You must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license to rent from Frontier Tesla.
You must provide a valid driver's license (photo upload required), pass an identity verification check, and have a valid credit card on file. You also need to provide proof of auto insurance or purchase coverage through us.
No. Any valid driver's license works. The Tesla Model 3 drives like any automatic car, just quieter and faster.
Contact us to discuss adding an additional driver. There's no extra fee for additional drivers.
The Vehicle
Yes, this is the updated 2025 Tesla Model 3 with the new front-end design, updated interior with ambient lighting, improved rear seat screen, and double-pane rear windows.
Our car has Enhanced Autopilot, which handles highway driving (lane keeping, adaptive cruise, lane changes). Full Self-Driving (FSD) adds city street driving.

Driving & Using the Tesla
You'll use the Tesla app on your phone. Walk up to the car and it unlocks automatically. Sit in the driver's seat, press the brake, and push the stalk into Drive. No key needed.
Yes, you'll need to download the Tesla app (free on iOS and Android) to unlock and lock the car. We'll walk you through the setup after booking.
The Tesla Model 3 is very intuitive. There's no gear shift, just press the brake and push the stalk into Drive. We'll send you a quick getting-started guide after booking.
Yes. The Tesla qualifies for HOV/carpool lanes on Bay Area freeways, even with a single occupant. Enhanced Autopilot also makes highway commuting much less stressful.
Charging
The 2025 Tesla Model 3 has a 363-mile range. That's enough to drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles with just one 15-minute Supercharger stop.
Supercharger costs are your responsibility during the rental, but they are very affordable, typically $10-15 for a full charge, much less than a tank of gas.
You have access to the entire Tesla Supercharger network. Charging is fast (15-30 minutes for a full charge) and stations are located throughout California.
Many Bay Area business hotels offer Tesla destination chargers or Level 2 EV charging. Check with your hotel before arrival. Alternatively, Superchargers are located throughout the Bay Area.

Absolutely. The Tesla Supercharger network makes it seamless. Thousands of people road trip in Teslas every day. The 363-mile range means you stop every 2-3 hours for a quick 15-minute charge, perfect for a rest break.
Absolutely. You can drive anywhere in California. Many renters use the car for trips to Napa Valley, Monterey, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe, and Los Angeles.
Yes! Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, and Pinnacles are all accessible from San Francisco. Just check Supercharger locations along your route. The car's navigation handles this automatically.
Yes! A weekend is perfect for Napa Valley, Monterey/Big Sur, Mendocino, or even a quick trip to Lake Tahoe. The 363-mile range and fast Supercharging make it very doable.
Technology & Privacy
Yes. Our onboard device records exterior camera feeds during the rental for vehicle protection and to collect anonymized driving data for AI research. By signing the rental agreement, you consent to this recording. All data is handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
