1. Overview

These terms govern your use of the Frontier Tesla website and rental service. By booking a vehicle or creating an account, you agree to these terms. Frontier Tesla operates as an independent Tesla rental service in San Francisco, California.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 25 years old to rent a vehicle
You must hold a valid U.S. driver's license
You must provide proof of personal auto insurance that covers rental vehicles, or purchase coverage through us
You must have a valid credit or debit card for payment and deposit

3. Booking and Payment

The minimum rental period is 2 days at $65 per day. A refundable $500 security deposit is collected at the time of booking. The deposit is returned within 30 days of a clean vehicle return, less any charges for damage, excessive dirt, or traffic violations.

All prices are in USD. Payment is processed through Stripe at the time of booking. The rental rate includes basic liability insurance coverage.

4. Vehicle Pickup and Return

Vehicles are picked up and returned at our Presidio location in San Francisco. You will receive the exact address and instructions after payment confirmation. The vehicle is unlocked using the Tesla mobile app. You must return the vehicle at the agreed time with at least 20% battery charge.

5. Vehicle Use

The vehicle may only be driven by the registered renter
No smoking or vaping in the vehicle
No pets without prior approval
You are responsible for all traffic violations, tolls, and parking tickets during your rental
The vehicle must remain within the continental United States
Off-road driving is prohibited

6. Full Self-Drive (Supervised)

Our vehicles are equipped with Tesla Full Self-Drive (Supervised). You are encouraged to use FSD during your rental. When FSD is engaged, you remain the responsible driver and must keep your hands on the wheel and maintain attention at all times, as required by Tesla and applicable law.

7. Insurance

Basic liability insurance is included in the rental rate. You must provide proof of valid personal auto insurance that covers rental vehicles prior to pickup. We verify all insurance documentation before releasing the vehicle. In the event of an accident, contact us immediately and file a police report if required.

8. Charging

The vehicle is provided with a full charge. You have access to the Tesla Supercharger network during your rental. Supercharger costs are your responsibility and are billed directly to the Tesla account linked to the vehicle. There are no mileage limits.

9. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of pickup receive a 50% refund of the rental fee. The security deposit is always fully refunded upon cancellation. No-shows forfeit the full rental fee.

10. Damage and Liability

You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during your rental period. Damage costs will be deducted from your security deposit. If damage exceeds the deposit amount, you will be charged the difference. We reserve the right to pursue additional damages through your insurance provider.

11. Vehicle Monitoring

We monitor vehicle location, battery level, and status during active rentals for fleet management and security purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

12. Limitation of Liability

Frontier Tesla's total liability for any claim arising from the rental is limited to the total rental fees paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This limitation does not apply to claims arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
